Bruce Lee’s final film, The Game of Death, is pretty much a laughable disaster, except for the locker room fight with “Carl Miller” (Anyone who loves Bruce Lee and his movies knows what I’m taking about: “You lose Carl Miller!”) and the final three fight scenes. But there’s a good reason why it’s so bad.
I must give all credit to Issa Rae who first posted this trailer for this straight-to-DVD (despite the voiceover saying it’s “coming to theaters”) “urban” film on her site, and I had to share it with all of you. Talk about a LAFF RIOT!
I especially like the part where he scowls and says, “Give me another reason to kick your ass!” I fully expected him to punctuate his sentence with “muthaf**ker!” So… this must mean that the man has already given him at least 1 reason, right? Any guesses on how many reasons it takes to convince Bokeem [...]
So here’s that Harmony Korine short film made as a fall campaign promotion for the high-end women’s fashion brand Proenza Schouler that I told you about last week. You can read that post in full HERE, so that I don’t have to rehash.
Finally, we get to see some footage from the film! I’m surprised that, at this point in its travels, a trailer has yet to be released for Raoul Peck’s latest offering, Moloch Tropical. It hurts the film in terms of audience attraction.
