News to me…
This 11-minute short, titled If I Was Like You, by first time filmmaker Wesley Du, screened at the DCAPA (DC Asian Pacific American) Film Festival earlier this month, and generated a lot of discussion on the multi-culti Racialicious blog, and I thought I’d share it here to see if it inspires any useful conversation.
Heaven help us… Uwe Bol, the self-described (if not delusional) f*cking genius director of films like Bloodrayne 1, 2 & 3, has gone and made a film on the Darfur atrocities that shook Sudan during the earlier part of this century. The film, simply called Darfur, centers on two American journalists (naturally) played by Edward [...]

I still haven’t seen this -1968’s The Split, starring Jim Brown, Ernest Borgnine, Donald Sutherland (all 3 were in The Dirty Dozen a year prior) Gene Hackman, Diahann Carroll and others.
And here’s another trailer for a horror flick called In The Closet. Here’s a film that’s currently playing in theatres, but very few actually know about it. According to its website, it opened last weekend (appropriately Halloween weekend) in 17 theatres, in California and Hawaii, of all places. And this month, it’s booked in 8 [...]
