It’s called Jake Gets Paid, the next feature film from Ed DuRante of The Leagues – the group of NYU MFA grads who brought you the feature film, 6 Things I Never Told You, which I’ve talked about previously on this blog, and which we screened here in New York City to overwhelmingly packed houses. Ed tells me he’s currently sending Jake Gets Paid out to festivals; I have a copy of it, but haven’t watched it yet. I will, likely this weekend!

The story goes… “a white woman throws a surprise party for her African-American boyfriend after discovering that he’s having an affair. It’s Dutchman meets Waiting for Godot.”
