Karen’s post in July asking whether Zoe Kravitz was in the brink of stardom was certainly prescient. The 20-year old daughter of rocker (now actor) Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet, is one we can expect to see a lot of and hear much about in the coming year, with 4 feature films scheduled for release in the next 12 months, lead singer and co-writer with of rock band Elevator Fight, seemingly gaining in notoriety, thanks to Zoe’s other successes, and now this – the new face for designer Vera Wang’s fragrance, Princess.

We’ve had previous discussions on this blog wondering who the next generation of stars and starlets are, with so few of African descent. Well, Zoe just might be one to watch. 2010 is shaping up quite nicely for her, and may be her year… a quick glance reveals that the roles she’ll play in the 4 films to be released next year, aren’t all necessarily race-specific, and vary between comedic and drama, so we’ll get to see a decent range of what she can do on screen.
