Recall,in July, I briefly profiled NYU MFA candidate Nikyatu Jusu and her award-winning short film African Booty Scratcher (Read that post and watch the film HERE).

Having near-completed her thesis film, Say Grace Before Drowning, Nikyatu posted a teaser trailer for the short film on her blog last night, which I embedded below, via Vimeo.

The synopsis: After meeting her African Refugee mother for the 1st time in 6 yrs, 8 year old Hawa is forced to coexist with a woman straddling insanity. By the looks of this, I think it’s safe to say Ms Jusu may have another award-winner on her hands
