And I thought they were the picture-perfect happiest of couples… The moral of the story is… don’t eff with Mary! I have always been eye brow lifted about Mary and her transformations. Not hatin on a sister, but she seemed to sing about it to much for me to really believe it. I think the less you talk about what you are doing, the more you are probably doing it. Others will see the work you are doing, so no need to brag about it. Maybe she was just having a bad night, but that eye brow is still lifted.
Perhaps Oprah should do a special domestic violence show “for all the Kendus of the world.”

NY Daily News is a tabloid is it not? So this is just gossip, it sounds a little outlandish for her to full-out punch a dude in the face in front of Beyonce, Jay and tons more people. Might’ve been blown out of proportion.
On the contrary Ash, NY Daily News is a reputable paper. We’re not talking about the National Enquirer here.

If Mary’s husband was being disrespectful and flirting with other women in her face, she had the right to punch him right dead in his face. I am tired of everything has be a Oprah type of reaction. Let’s keep it real, some things in life have to be handled accordingly.
It is interesting to see that Ms Blige has opened a domestic violence shelter for women. I wonder….will they allow her HUSBAND to get help? Unbiased research shows that women are as violent or more violent then men but they have no protection under the law and much of that is because of the double standards and hypocrisy of the domestic violence industry.

let’s just fill up the prisons with everybody for ever little thing. let’s just give the criminal justice system money for every little thing. umh hmm yes let’s run to the police because they solve all our problems. every weekend i see a korean woman swinging on a korean man or two koreans having a dispute. i’m almost positive they do not go to the police after an incident. domestic abuse is a problem people should keep their hands to themselves. i don’t hear folks saying the same thing when two people of the same gender are fighting.

Your wanting the police to stay out of it also justifies it but it does appear they ARE staying out of it…but my question is would you want them and would they stay out of it if her husband hit her for looking at another man? Would you say she deserved it even if he caught her in bed with another man?
As for being on Oprah, don’t flatter yourself. I have no story to tell other then the violation of the United States Constitution by the Violence Against Women Act and the double standard of the domestic violence industry which we see playing out very well in this incident.
