Destiny’s Child Star Williams Heading To Broadway To Join “Chicago” Cast

Michelle Williams, the singing star who rose to fame as one-third of Destiny’s Child (along with Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Rowland), will return to Broadway next month in the Tony-winning revival of Chicago.

Williams will play the role of merry murderous Roxie Hart beginning Feb. 8 at the Ambassador Theatre. The singing actress, who played the same role in the London production of the hit show, will perform on Broadway through March 28. She will succeed Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.

Looks like everyone’s heading to Broadway these days, doesn’t it?
