Jamie Foxx Cast To Pair Up With Bruce Willis In Adaptation Of Video Game “Kane & Lynch: Dead Men?”
At the center of the game are 2 anti-hero criminals – 1 of them a death row-convicted killer, and the other, a crazed sociopath who suffers from psychotic blackouts and hallucinations. Gamer site, IGN, lays it out as follows: the game begins with the duo en route to death row. A mysterious paramilitary outfit that calls itself The7 breaks the two out. Kane, it seems, is a former member of the group and has a lot of money that they feel owed. Lynch, a medicated psychopath, is recruited to keep an eye on Kane while he gets The7 what they want. From there, the plot follows a series of twists, turns and betrayals with a whole lot of killing along the way. It’s described as gritty, insanely violent, with mucho foul language to compliment.
Newcomer Kyle Ward, who Lionsgate hired to write the screenplay, slipped the Jamie Foxx casting news via his Twitter page. Bruce Willis was already confirmed for the role of Kane, which means Foxx will be Lynch, the crazed sociopath who suffers from psychotic blackouts and hallucinations. It’s worth noting that the Lynch character in the videogame is an “aging, long-haired Caucasian man,” which Foxx certainly isn’t. But, so what, right? Unless the physical make-up each character is crucial to the story, this bit of color-blind casting shouldn’t ruffle too many feathers. Ward quickly took the Twitter post down, once film sites caught on; he likely wasn’t supposed to leak that piece of info just yet. Too late! I haven’t really played this game as well but I have been seeing this before. So far, I like most of the movies that were based from a video games.
Considering the actors are famous, I assume this movie will turn out to be very good.
