“Zum Zum” – A Film About Azumah Nelson, Arguably The Greatest Boxer To Come From Africa
Written and produced by Atlanta-based filmmaker Sam A Kessie, the documentary follows the humble story of a man who became known as the Terrible Warrior, and arguably the greatest boxer to come out of Africa. With highlights of rare footage and interviews from Azumah and many others. The documentary is a project aimed at raising funds for The Azumah Nelson Sports Academy in Akuse, Ghana. It is a non profit, non regions and, non partisan organization to develop and inspire less privilege young people. The film will premiere in Ghana on the 17th of this month. After that, who knows… you’ll know when we know. I’ve never really been big on boxing, but this is a film I’d like to see, as I know little about the man it profiles. Here’s a teaser trailer (h/t U.C. for the tip):

Azumah’s documentary is a welcome news. Kudos to this young writer.
