Oprah’s OWN Network Announces More Of Its Programming
I already mentioned yesterday that she will host a show on the network, called Oprah’s Next Chapter, an on-location interview series in which she’ll travel to places “from the Taj Mahal to her beloved oak tree,” and interview persons of interest. It’ll air as often as three times a week. Also newly announced: Visionaries: Inside the Creative Mind, featuring profiles of James Cameron, Lady Gaga and other creative talents; Your Own Show: Oprah’s Search for the Next TV Star, a competition series from producer Mark Burnett (Survivor); a daily version of pal Gayle King’s radio show (I guess Gayle will host her own talk show);a reality series starring country singer Shania Twain; and something called a “master class” that will feature prominent successful people like Condoleezza Rice, Jay-Z and will.i.am. Are any of you excited about this new network? I don’t have cable, so I won’t be watching. Here she is making the announcements yesterday at Radio City Music Hall:
