Trailer For “Love Chronicles: Secrets Revealed” (Vivica Fox, Rockmond Dunbar, Ving Rhames)

70140321It’s apparently a sequel to the 2003 film, Love Chronicles, which starred Robin Givens & Terrence Howard. Didn’t see it. Did you? It was a straight-to-DVD release, just as Love Chronicles: Sercrets Revealed will be as well; look for this “romantic dramedy” on Netflix next week Tuesday, July 13th.

The story goes… As radio personality Darren (Rockmond Dunbar) dishes out relationship advice over the airwaves, he struggles to prevent his own marriage to Janet (Vivica A. Fox) from falling apart. Meanwhile, fellow DJ Mike V (Ving Rhames) tries to protect a young woman from getting her heart broken. Mike Epps also stars as a successful author who counsels a married woman (Elise Neal).

Tyler Maddox-Simms is the director; this is his 3rd effort. He also directed the first Love Chronicles movie, and, before that, a 1999 film called Bar-B-Q, about an athlete, his girlfriend, friends, and a barbecue party, crashed by neighbors.

Check out the trailer for Love Chronicles: Secrets Revealed below (will it be on your “to-see” list?):

It’s just sad to see so many talented actors in something that is obviously terrible. It says everything about this fucked up and wonderful business. Folks who write shit like this should just tap dance in the street. I could respect that more.

It’s a sad thing when we have a website that delivers so much non factual information. Regarding Tyler-Maddox Simms first of all She is a African American FEMALE that has a incredible story. Second she did not direct Bar B Q and third. Love Chronicles sequel is positive inspirational and uplifting!! How could someone make such a stupid remark without even seeing the FILM.

    • I stand corrected on “HER” gender.

Netflix lists her in a double-feature disk with 2 feature films, “Bar-B-Q” and “Beverly Hood.” It says the director of “Beverly Hood” is a fellow by the name of John West. So, I assumed she directed the other. If she didn’t direct “Bar-B-Q” then she I suppose she directed “Beverly Hood.” But it’s all the same to me.

As for whether or not the film is “positive inspirational and uplifting” I wouldn’t know. But I didn’t say it wasn’t. Regardless, that’s entirely subjective, isn’t it? Not factual.

The Trailor looks great! Now all these talented actors are in this film for a reason. Im sure its a good film. I loved the first Love Chronicles. The comment about tap dancing? dumb comment. Give the sista a chance. This is a hard business, and its a accomplishment to get something on DVD!

True. She directed “Beverly Hood” instead.

Tyler is usually a dude’s name so I don’t fault the confusion on that. :)
