Even though the weekend has just begun box office insiders are already predicting what For Colored Girls will do over the weekend judging from Friday’s opening numbers and it looks like the film will perform well coming in third at $22-24 million which is about equal to the opening numbers on average for a Tyler Perry film. However his films always tend to drop off quickly during the following weeks of release, so it still needs to be seen if the film has “legs” or will drop off quickly like his other films.

Megamind looks to be No. 1 with somewhere in the rage of $45 million with Due Date coming in second at $35 million.The final weekend numbers will be reported Sunday as usual
