Christopher Cherot Update
Consider him found! In response to one of our “Where Are They Now?” posts on this site, referencing him specifically, I received an email yesterday from Christopher Scott Cherot (writer/director of Hav Plenty and G.). The email, in sum, was a general update on his activities over the past couple of years, with directions to an interview he held with The New Times Holler website about a year ago, which was apparently his last full interview.
Those who are curious to find out what the man has been up to, head on over to The New Times Holler and read the revelatory interview, in which Cherot reveals: - That his mother took out two more mortgages on her house to help him finance what would eventually become my first independent feature, Hav Plenty. And much more… read the entire piece HERE, and thanks to Chris for the email update! Good to know he reads this site Now I’m wondering who else we’ve featured in our “Where Are They Now?” series reads this site, and will eventually give us their own updates? 10 comments to Christopher Cherot Update |

Nice update! I really hope that movie with Hill Harper and Shemar Moore gets released.
It’s great that he contacted you; it shows that you all are doing some excellent work here!
It’s sad what’s happening with his film and that he lost some of his work in the fires. I do hope he comes out okay with all of that.
Best of luck to him.
Now maybe you can find one of my favorite actresses, N’bushe Wright. Milk Carton alert on her asap! *lol*
Tambay Obenson… Private Investigator for the Funk. Well done on the track-down.
I occasionally wonder what became of Wendell B. Harris, Jr.
I like that he sounds like a grounded person. Unpretentious and down-to-earht. Good for him. I hope he makes something out of whatever path he chooses in the end.
And I didn’t know about that “Box Marley” movie. Then again it’s never been released so ho would I have known =)
For the record, the Untitled Bathroom Project is a short film not a feature. A girlfriend of mine is one of the writers on the project.
By the way what happened to the podcast?
The Untitled Bathroom Project directed by CSC is in editing. It was shot in April over two days.
Box Marley…I like the title
A correction on the interview: the name of the site is The New Times Holler
@Jeremiah – Chris did mention it was a short in his email update. Forgot to add that. Thanks. Also, the podcast still exists… in spurts. If you subscribe via iTUNES, you’ll always know when there’s a new download.
@ Moyo Roho – thanks. Correction made!
