Consider him found!

In response to one of our “Where Are They Now?” posts on this site, referencing him specifically, I received an email yesterday from Christopher Scott Cherot (writer/director of Hav Plenty and G.).

The email, in sum, was a general update on his activities over the past couple of years, with directions to an interview he held with The New Times Holler website about a year ago, which was apparently his last full interview.

Those who are curious to find out what the man has been up to, head on over to The New Times Holler and read the revelatory interview, in which Cherot reveals:

- That his mother took out two more mortgages on her house to help him finance what would eventually become my first independent feature, Hav Plenty.
- The film he made after Hav Plenty, in the summer of 2000, titled, Box Marley – a comedy that starred Hill Harper, Shemar Moore, Tracy Morgan, Neal McDonough, Tommy Davison, and Tom Arnold. Apparently, there were, and still are some legal issues regarding the movie, and, thus, it has never been released.
- His rewarding trips to Kenya (in the picture above).
- His work in commercial projects for the likes of Pepsi.
- The loss of his home during the summer 2007 fires in Southern California, in which he apparently lost a lot of his work.

And much more… read the entire piece HERE, and thanks to Chris for the email update! Good to know he reads this site :o )

Now I’m wondering who else we’ve featured in our “Where Are They Now?” series reads this site, and will eventually give us their own updates?
