Pics Of Taraji P. Henson & LeToya Luckett In “From The Rough”

Above and below, you’ll find a 3 new stills featuring Taraji P. Henson, LeToya Luckett, and other members of the cast of the upcoming sports drama From the Rough – a project we alerted you to back in August 2010.

Pierre Bagley is producing and directing the project, which stars Taraji as Cassandra Turner, a fictional character based on real-life character, Dr. Catana Starks, whose story is at the center of the film; she was the first female head coach of an NCAA Division 1 golf team, who was presented with an opportunity to create a men’s golf team at an HBCU, but was forced to recruit white and international players, when it became obvious to her that there weren’t many college-age black golfers.

Shooting took place on location in New Orleans, and is reportedly complete. The film should be out later this year.

    Looks like it will be interesting. Tom Felton(of Harry Potter) and Letoya Luckett will be a couple in the movie. Thanks for the pics Tambay!

      Test screenings begin this week (Wednesday night and another Friday) where it’s going to be shopped for distributors. I received an invite for the tomorrow night showing but I’m not sure that I’ll be able to attend yet.
