Exclusive 1st Look Clips & Images From “The Mortician” (3D), Starring Method Man, Wendell Pierce, Others
It just made its worldwide debut at the Berlin Film Festival, in the Panorama sidebar, last Saturday. The film I’m referring to is The Mortician from British director Gareth Maxwell Roberts, which stars Method Man (as the titular mortician), Edward Furlong and Dash Mihok. Wendell Pierce of The Wire fame also co-stars. The film, which was actually shot and will be released in 3D, is described as “urban noir tale;” “technologically innovative and creatively groundbreaking.” Fast-forward to today, and, thanks to the filmmaker and his production team, we have an exclusive first-look at the film – specifically, 3 extended clips from it, 2 video interviews with the director, producer, other key crew members, and Method Man, an official poster and synopsis, and a still image. As I already stated, it premiered at the Berlinale last week, and the filmmaker is hoping for a stateside debut possibly at the Tribeca Film Festival here in NYC. But nothing’s definite yet. First, the official synopsis reads:

I can’t wait!!! Love Method Man!!!
ehh…maybe the dvd i will catch…maybe not, there’s just something about this that screams NOT GOOD. meth seems like he’s trying to hard to not sound like a “gangsta” in this film.
