Weekend B.O. (April 8-10)

We’re pretty much in the box office doldrums right now, with nothing particularly standing out numbers wise. Things will no doubt improve in a few weeks somewhat when Tyler Perry’s latest film opens on April 22nd, but the big numbers aren’t really going to appear until early May with the release of Thor, and the onslaught of the summer movies. Though Sucker Punch has died a quick box office death, The Lincoln Lawyer and Limitless hold on turning into some genuine sleeper hits

This week however Arthur and Your Highness, two of the worst reviewed films so far this year, along with Sucker Punch, did worse than expected, and Hanna did better than excepted; read the rest of the list below:

1. Hop (Universal) Weekend $21.6M Cume $68.1M
2. Arthur (Warner Bros) Weekend $12.6M
3. Hanna (Focus) Weekend $12.3M

You can’t follow-up Pineapple Express with Your Highness. You = David Gordon Green, Danny McBride & James Franco.

The trailer for this feature is PURE TORTURE and so horrid. I hate you film, and I haven’t even met you. :P

Arthur, what were they thinking? Dudley Moore is irreplaceable. :| and Brand’s too tall for “Arthur”!
