Whoa! Denzel Washington and Will Smith On Screen Together For The First Time!Denzel Washington has been doing some likely ill-advised talking to MTV. In the video clip below, he reveals quite the unexpected – that, for the first time, he and that other African American superstar, Will Smith, are working together on some top secret action/comedy project – a production that Denzel says Will is putting together at this very moment. How huge could this be to see these 2 together on screen? Whether you like or despise either of them, you’ve got to admit that this would indeed be a pretty big deal, given that they’ve NEVER worked together before – a fact that I find befuddling. Of course, ultimately, if the project itself stinks, then it really won’t matter. So let’s hope that whatever this secret project is will be something worthwhile. What would be grand is if the entire team behind the production – or at least those in key positions, like writer and director, etc – will be people of African descent. What is it with Denzel and those people with an affinity for Scientology all of a sudden? First Travolta, who’s a member – and now Smith, whose school teaches according to scientologistic principles, and when he was called out about it said he thinks all religions are the same anyway?
Please, Denzel, no! Travolta was bad enough!

Denzel is getting his hustle on for real! I still think he is so handsome! I don’t know about this upcoming film with Will but I wish them both the best. Is it me or does he seem like he’s half-asleep in this interview?
I’m surprised this isn’t getting more comments. I guess I’m the one of just 2 people who think this is a big deal.

This better not be that remake of “Uptown Saturday Night” that Will was rumored to be interested in doing. I hope not. I hope instead it’s something completely original.
