Ask him what is his feeling on today’s black film?
Ask him when it finally dawned on him that Chameleon Street, despite its Sundance win and all the interest shown in it, was not going to be picked up/released.
And, perhaps a stupid/redundant question, how did he feel about it and about Hollywood in general after that?
Thanks for the great interview. It was very informative. His experience underscores the importance of alternative (read: independent)distribution in allowing new voices outside of the mainstream to be heard.
P.S: I would love to have been a fly on the wall at some of those pitch meetings he described, lol.
