Actor and Buttah Skin founder Dorian Renaud is teaming with Natalie Manuel Lee for the new digital series, Beyond the Surface. It will “highlight Black creatives and changemakers and examine the stories that have shaped their lives and careers.”

The series kicks off on Feb. 3 to celebrate Black History Month. Guests include sports journalist Cari Champion, Woke star Lamorne Morris, Run the World‘s Bresha Webb, E! host and fashion designer Nina Parker.

As the description states, “each episode will delve into the guests’ thoughts on inner beauty, finding purpose through their careers, combatting negative self-talk, embracing life’s transitions, and releasing things that no longer serve our best interests, what has become more important to each of them during the pandemic and more.”

“I’m proud to have worked with Natalie on developing a series that celebrates Black culture,” said Renaud in a statement received by S&A. “It’s important for me to continue to uplift our voices and showcase the beauty behind our stories, especially during Black History Month, and in the current times in which we’re living.”

The series will stream across official Buttah Skin platforms each week on Thursdays, including the brand’s official website, ButtahSkin.com and their official Instagram @buttahskin. The audio version of each conversation will be available in podcast form on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
