Dominique Fishback, best known for her role on HBO’s The Deuce is one of the new cast members joining Daniel Kaluuya and Lakeith Stanfield in the Black Panthers film, Jesus Was My Homeboy.

According to Deadline, Fishback will play Deborah Johnson, the love interest of prominent Black Panther Party member Fred Hampton (Kaluuya) and the mother of his activist-minded son, Fred Hampton Jr. The Post‘s Jesse Plemons will play Roy Mitchell, one of the FBI agents after Hampton and the Black Panther Party. Mitchell uses William O’Neal (Stanfield), a member of Hampton’s inner circle, to gain information about Hampton and the organization. The information ultimately leads to Hampton’s death.

The film is directed by Shaka King for Warner Bros. King also co-wrote the film with Will Berson. Ryan Coogler and MACRO’s Charles D. King are producers, with Zinzi Coogler and MACRO’s Kim Roth, Sev Ohanian and Poppy Hanks as executive producers.
