Kandi Burruss’ Real Housewives of Atlanta spinoff Kandi & The Gang is cancelled after one season. The show followed the lives of her employees who work at her Atlanta eatery, Old Lady Gang. Burruss announced the cancellation in a social media live with her fans and admits she’s saddened by such.

The series also followed the restaurant staff in their day-to-day lives at the restaurant.

Burruss spoke a bit about the cancellation to LoveBScott on Thursday, saying, “Honestly, I’m not ready to give any statement. I really haven’t put my thoughts into words. I have not written a statement. All I can say is that I really love our show Kandi & The Gang [and] everyone in it. I feel like it deserves a second season.”

"People ask me about the show every day," she continued. "There will be a lot of disappointed fans. I'm disappointed."

Reality Blurb reports that Bravo canceled the series because of alleged low interest from audiences, according to sources.

Some fans have expressed sadness on Twitter, with one writing, “I can’t believe Kandi and the gang isn’t returning for a second season. They at least deserve a 2nd season. What’s going on @BravoTV?”

Another wrote that the show was “probably the best thing” to come from Burruss’ production powerhouse. “This news makes me sad,” they wrote.

Another viewer also wrote on Twitter, Damn, I'm actually sad about this! I liked Kandi and the Gang. Too bad they didn't give it another chance."

Before the show premiered in May, Burruss told E! News that she said her show would have a lot of emotional moments with a lot of heart.

“On Kandi & the Gang you’re gonna get plenty of laughter because my family and the people that work in my restaurant, they are all like walking comedians,” she said at the time. “Of course, you’re gonna get your share of drama and emotional moments. I think the thing about Kandi & the Gang is, because my family is a part of the restaurant, it can be a bit stressful at times.”
