Kenan Thompson has given Good Burger fans hope for a sequel!

When Thompson was on the most recent episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, he revealed that he and Kel Mitchell have been in talks of creating a sequel to their 1997 Nickelodeon comedy.

“We’ve been talking about it for a long time. We’ve had meetings about it, so it’s in the higher powers’ hands cause we’ve both said that we’re down to do it,” he said.

The talk of a Good Burger sequel seems to be the result of Thompson and Mitchell finally reconnecting after years apart. Thompson said that the creator of All That and the Good Burger film, Dan Schneider, helped facilitate the two reuniting for the Good Burger skit on a 2015 episode of The Tonight Show.

“We hadn’t spoken in a long time,” he said, adding that reconnecting “was like picking up right where we left off.”

Thompson and Mitchell have been seen together more often, particularly on a celebrity edition of Double Dare, which aired during Thanksgiving week.
