Recently, there’s been a movement toward getting Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” music video to reach 1 billion views. While many fans are behind this initiative, rapper Offset is at the forefront of this push.

Over the last few months, Offset has sported several looks resembling the “King of Pop.” In conjunction with his attire, the promotional materials for his upcoming album also refer to Jackson.

Offset’s new “Thriller”-inspired music video for his latest single, “Fan,” which dropped on Friday, pays homage to Jackson. Everybody Hates Chris alum and Power Book II: Ghost star Paige Audrey-Marie Hurd co-stars in the video.

Jackson’s “Thriller” music video, released in 1983, is considered one of the, if not the most iconic, ever.

Since appearing on YouTube in 2009, the video has accumulated over 929 million views. The #1Billion4Thriller fan campaign aims to get the legendary video to the 1 billion mark.

On Wednesday, Offset continued his trend of MJ support by promoting the #1Billion4Thriller campaign on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Offset isn’t a stranger to emulating iconic music figures. Earlier this year, he used a similar approach to promote “Jealousy,” his eighth collaboration with his wife, Cardi B.

In the humor-infused skit, he channeled his inner James Brown by parodying Brown’s infamous 1988 CNN interview after being arrested for allegedly assaulting his then-wife, Adrienne Rodriguez.
