Starz’s hit show Power has temporarily shut down after an accident left a production assistant dead.

According to Deadline, an SUV struck 63-year-old production assistant Pedro Jimenez around 4:30 a.m. ET Monday. Jimenez was placing parking cones in preparation for a Brooklyn shoot at the time of the accident. The driver was also a member of the show’s production crew.

Jimenez had been a part of the Power production crew since its 2014 debut.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of one of the members of our Power family,” said a Starz spokesperson. “Our thoughts are with Mr. Jimenez’s family as we work to fully understand what has happened.”

The temporary halt in production was done out of respect to the Jimenez family. Also, according to Deadline’s sources, the stop in production will allow crew and cast members to cope with the sudden death.
