'RHOP': Karen Huger Says Candiace Dillard Bassett's Police Statement Doesn't Add Up With What She's Been Saying

The Real Housewives of Potomac's Candiace Dillard Bassett is sticking to her claim that she’s a victim in her fight with Monique Samuels, but Karen Huger believes both women are at fault. This season, Huger has tried her hardest to remain neutral, as she considers both women to be her friend. But Dillard Bassett wants her to choose a side, and to be neutral is to side with Samuels.

During Sunday night’s episode, Ashley Darby shocked Dillard Bassett when she revealed she wrote a statement of support for Samuels, which details Darby’s own past issues with Dillard Bassett. Dillard Bassett says Darby’s support of Samuels could potentially hurt her legally as it could weaken her case.

Dillard Bassett then turned her frustration to Huger, blasting Huger for what she feels is a lack of her holding Samuels accountable for her actions. Huger says the whole ordeal is unfortunate but notes that Dillard Bassett is not innocent. In previous episodes, she’s been honest with Dillard Bassett about her tendency to provoke her co-stars with her tongue.

She also hinted to the group that Dillard Bassett is hiding something. She later reveals in her confessional that she saw Dillard Bassett’s statement she gave to police. In the statement, Dillard Bassett admits that she hit Samuels with a wine glass in self-defense as Samuels hit her repeatedly over the head.

Despite stating in their sit-down with Samuels that the glass was thrown in the chaos and not on purpose, Robyn Dixon agrees with Dillard Bassett that the glass throwing was in self-defense and says the footage from the fight proves such. During her appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Dixon said of Huger’s stance Dillard Bassett, "I didn't see what that information had to do with the fight and the fact that Monique was the aggressor first. That was irrelevant information. Candiace was throwing that in self-defense, clearly.”

Despite such, Huger agrees that Samuels should have never resorted to physical violence.

RHOP airs Sundays on Bravo.
