Filmmaker Karl Lunz has taken the story of Netflix’s You and given it a specific Brooklyn flair with the aptly-titled web series, You…from Brooklyn?.

Lunz released the first episode on YouTube and Twitter, which showcases a man named Josiah (Malak Lunsford) pursuing Mercedes (Alexa Leighton) creepily throughout a grocery store. Lunz plays Mercedes’ would-be partner.

The video has already gained loyal followers, with it being liked over 221,000 times on Lunz’s Twitter page and retweeted over 67,000 times. Fans can follow the updates to the series on the official You…from Brooklyn? Instagram page.

Netflix’s You, which stars Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti, has been renewed for a third season which will air in 2021.
