Longtime comedy writer and producer Eunetta T. Boone has passed away. Boone was currently the showrunner for Disney Channel’s Raven’s Home. 

In her storied career, she had written for The Fresh Prince of Bel-AirThe Parent ‘HoodLiving SingleThe Hughleys and My Wife and Kids. She also acted as co-producer for Living Single, supervising producer for The Parent ‘Hood, co-executive producer for The Hughleys and My Wife and Kids and executive producer on the Kyla Pratt-led series One on One (which she created) and the show’s spinoff, Cuts. She also wrote the script for a movie on legendary jewel thief Doris Payne, which has Tessa Thompon attached to star. No word on the status of that project.

In a statement, Disney Channel said: “Eunetta Boone was a wonderful person and a consummate storyteller and teacher, and through her leadership on many productions including Raven’s Home, she did so well what she enjoyed most — mentoring creative talent. Eunetta will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by everyone who knew her. All of us at Disney Channel grieve her passing and send our deepest condolences to her family, friends and colleagues.”

“My heart is heavy following the loss of Raven’s Home executive producer Eunetta Boone,” Raven-Symoné said. “Eunetta was a pioneer and an inspiration to everyone she met. She was a masterful storyteller, an empathetic leader and a beacon of light to so many. I’m sending love and my deepest sympathies to Eunetta’s family and friends and all who knew and loved her. She will be missed. Thank you for everything Eunetta.”

Boone was 63 and found at her Los Angeles home.
